GO can be played on UNIX by installing the gnugo package. Simple as an
	apt-get install gnugo	# Debian
	emerge gnugo		# Gentoo

This provides an ASCII interface, or can be used in conjunction with a number
of front-ends such as :
	CGoban
	Jago
	and even Emacs!

The Smart Go Format is a standard format for storing Go games.
