| I have done this sometime back when I was working for the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and luckily I had enough time to document it. In this documentation I am explaining how to create a Transparent Proxy using a Squid cache and a Linux server.
From My experience it is probable that you might have to write your own scripts to bring up networking and firewalling. There are existing HOWTO (mini howto) describing the steps to accomplish the same topic, this document was produced to fill the gap between existing HOWTO and other support technical documentation you can find on the internet.
